‘Dharmaprasar’ was done in the following manner !
*Distribution of 6000 handbill on ‘Gudhi Padva’.
*Demonstrations on how to hoist ‘Gudhi’.
*Distribution of Greetings Cards to the elected representatives and dignitaries.
*Signature drive against proposed anti-superstitions Act.
*Organizing lectures on topics of Nation and Dharma.
Mumbai : Hindu New Year i.e. Gudhi Padva was celebrated in Mumbai with lot of enthusiasm. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) undertook an expansive ‘Dharmaprasar’ on this occasion. New Year ‘welcome rallies’ were taken out in different parts of Mumbai and its suburbs like Bhandup, Mulund, Malad, Andheri, Boisar, Palghar, Khar Road, Girgaum, Vasai, Powai, Dadar, Kala Chowki, Lal Baug, Worli etc. in which many members of HJS participated. ‘Ideal Gudhi’ was hoisted at Bhandup, Sarsole Ganesh Mandir at Nerul, Navi Mumbai and public library at Koparkhairane. Mr. Kailas Patil, the President of Sri Sarsole Ganesha Mandir Trust and Mr. Suresh Sakpal, the Deputy area-chief of Shiv Sena extended special cooperation.
Children’s Cell was opened at Nerul and Ghatkopar with the help of the young ‘Dharma-rakshaks’ of HJS. HJS members called on pro-Hindu activists,elected representatives and its well wishers etc. and extended greetings of New Year. Signature drive was undertaken at various places against the proposed anti-superstitions Act. VCDs were shown at some places and lectures on protection of the Nation and Dharma were organized. All programs received very good response from the people.
Highlights
*Mr. Rajesh Kusale, the ‘Shakha-chief’ of Shiv Sena from Arthur Road was instrumental in hoisting ‘Gudhi’ as per the science in his area with the help of 11 deputy ‘Shakha-chiefs’. Mr. Prasad Mankar of HJS was felicitated at Kala Chwoki.
