Extensive Dharma Prasar in Karnataka on account of Ugadi New year

Karnataka : On account of Ugadi New year there was extensive Dharma Prasar by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti in different parts of Karnataka.

More than 50,000 Ugadi hand bills distributed

The Samiti printed 50,000 A5 size hand bills giving details of Ugadi and New Year. These were distributed in schools, colleges, temples, public places, fairs, during Dharma Jagruti Sabhas, etc and awareness was created. There was excellent feed back from many devout Hindus after going through the hand bills. Mr. S.P. Shanbhag a devout Hindu sponsored 10,000 handbills and arranged to distribute the same around the campus of multinational companies and there by created awareness in a different segment of Society.

Extensive  publicity of Ugadi New Year through posters

To wish the public in general and to create an Ugadi New Year environment thousands of posters were put in different parts of the state. The response was excellent all over and in many places even the police volunteered to affix the posters. In other places people collected the posters and pasted them in their towns thereby creating awareness.

More than 4,000 New Year Greetings with special message ‘ Kranvantho Aryam’

To make lasting impression in the minds of Hindus to celebrate New Year on Ugadi and also send Greetings for the New Year during this time, Samiti had arranged printed multicoloured four page New Year Greetings. More than 4,000 greetings were distributed.

When we gave the Greeting to Mr. Nagaraj Naidu he was very pleased after seeing the message regarding Dharma, the art work involved, the features built in like space for writing the message etc. and he exclaimed that only Hindu Janajagruti Samiti is doing the ideal activity in the entire country and only the Samiti can bring the real Hindu Rashtra. In some other districts, devout Hindus purchased the Greetings in large numbers and distributed to their friends and relatives.

Awareness on Ugadi New Year through Daily news paper and other news media

The Samiti released articles on the spiritual, natural significance of Ugadi to various news papers all over the state. Hosa Digantha daily news paper having three editions in different parts of the state carried a special colour supplement carrying the article on Ugadi in all the editions. Many other local papers also carried special articles thereby creating awareness amongst the masses.

Public programmes held at many places to create awareness about the spiritual significance of raising the Brahma Dhwaja

To create awareness about the spiritual significance of raising the Brahma Dhwaja and for Hindu unification public programmes held at many places. There was excellent feedback from the Society for this programme. Neem leaf and jaggery was given as Prasad on this occasion.

Live phone in programme on the occasion of Ugadi on TV Media

There was a live TV phone in progaramme on behalf of the Samiti on Namma TV a leading channel in coastal Karnataka having viewership of more than 10 lakh.

State wide Dharma prasar through Cable TV with Lakhs of viewers viewing the VCD on Ugadi

The special VCD prepared by the Samiti in Hindi for Ugadi was displayed by cable operators for two days intermittently for the benefit of viewers in 16 channels with more than 18 lakh viewership.

Publicity through Hoardings

The Samiti had come out with hoarding of different sizes and these were sponsored and put up in central locations in district and taluka places.

Awareness through lectures

Shivamogga and few other centers arranged special lectures on Ugadi for the benefit of devout Hindus in temples etc.
