Amaravati : Shriram Sena took out a procession on the day of Ram-Navami in the city. They extended invitation to Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for joining so as to take out the procession in disciplined manner. HJS activists have experience of taking out such processions peacefully without causing disturbance to traffic. 6 young women attending self-defence classes conducted by HJS, staged demos during the procession on use of sticks, chain etc. This led to generating feeling of valour and enthusiasm for taking out the procession.

- HJS activities are carried out with discipline. We have no problem with you and people also like such activities. – Police on duty
- Demos staged by you made the procession very interesting. Such activities are important for girls in prevailing time, stated priest of a temple and he took down contact nos. of HJS for this purpose.
- We also want to get training like you. Start a training class for us. – One young woman participating in the procession.
- We could take out procession in disciplined manner and in proper way because of your participation. Your young lady- activists awakened valour amongst people which is quite laudable. We got lot of things to learn due to HJS.
Collective chanting sessions were held at 8 places in Amaravati city and special prayers were offered. More than 400 Shriram-devotees participated in them.
Similar prayers were offered even at Paldhi, Nandra in Jalgaon district
Jalgaon : Special prayers were offered in Shriram Mandir at Nandra as well as Paldhi while at Paldhi, collective chanting session of Shriram’s name was also held.
