Increase in charges for Shri Mata Vaishnodevi ‘aarti’ should be immediately cancelled !
Solapur : ‘Aarti’ is performed near the ancient temple of Shri Mata Vaishnodevi everyday in morning and evening. Several devotees from all over India take part in this ‘aarti’. ‘Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine Board’ was charging Rs. 1000/- per person till now and this rate would be increased to Rs. 2000/- per person as per announcement recently made by this Board. It is a kind of deliberate attempt to impose restraints over religious rights of Hindus and it is quite infuriating. The Shrine Board is already looting Hindus by charging Rs.1000/- for taking part in recitation of ‘aarti’. Such Board should be dissolved and an Administrator should be appointed in its place, was the demand made by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) through a representation submitted to Dy. District Collector, Ajit Deshmukh. Devout Hindus viz. Shri. Balraj Dontul, Shri. Vilas Potu and Shri. Vinod Rasal of HJS were present on the occasion.
Other demands by all Devi-devotees and devout Hindus !
1.Presently, President’s rule has been imposed on the State; so, Governor of Jammu-Kashmir and Union Government should stop this fine imposed on Hindus through the medium of ‘aarti’ and Devi-devotees should be allowed to participate without any charges !
2. In-depth inquiry should be conducted in other things which are looting devotees and instructions should be given to stop such looting immediately !
Those, who don’t want to pay for ‘aarti’, may recite ‘aarti’ at home ! – Says Dy. District Collector Ajit Deshmukh
Will Dy. District Collector exhibit such bullying even in case of non-Hindus ?
Shri. Vinod Rasal of HJS submitted the representation and told Dy. District Collector Ajit Deshmukh about increase in charges for ‘aarti’ to Rs.2000/- by ‘Vaishnodevi Shrine Board’ when he said, “Those, who don’t want to pay charges, should recite ‘aarti’ at home’” (Dy. District Collector (DC) Ajit Deshmukh is not at all concerned about Hindus’ religious sentiments nor is he bothered about their ‘Dharma-shaastra’ ! – Editor) HJS activists told Dy. DC that it was injustice to Hindus, then he kept quiet and said that he would forward the representation to his senior officer.
