Dombivali (Maharashtra) : There is an urgent need to pass an Act for eradication of corruption; but the Government is trying to put a curb on celebration of religious festivals by Hindus, to follow their customs and traditions by passing the so-called anti-superstition Act. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) staged demonstrations at Dombivali (West) and Dadar to protest against this Act.

Mr. Prasad Vadake of HJS said, “Srikrushna protected the people of Gokul by destroying Kaliya. In today’s context, that Kaliya is Anddha-shraddha Nirmulan Samiti (ANiS) and Bhagavan Srikrushna will destroy it. Let us have faith in Him. These people cite examples of wastage of food in such religious festivals, they worry about pollution due to immersion of Sri Ganesha idols; but they do not see the wastage of food in big parties, in malls etc. taking place throughout the year; they do not see the companies that send effluents with poisonous chemicals in sea-water. Such attitude of ANiS exhibits its hatred for Hindus.

Mr. Janardan Kulkarni of RSS, Mr. Dilip Ghag of Sree Sampradaya, Mr. Muralidhar Mulgund of Chidambar Seva Mandal, Mrs. Alpana Joshi of Sanatan  Sanstha, a devout Hindu Mr. Dilip Kelkar and Mr. Ajay Sambhus of HJS were present on the occasion. Hundreds of people put their signature on the representation to register their opposition to the Act.

Mr. Paras Rajput, the Secretary of BJP’s North Indian ‘March’ visited the venue and tried to get information on the proposed Act. He then extended support to the agitations and assured to cooperate with HJS in every manner.

Feedbacks
