- Same old Bill as drafted in the year 2005 has been thrust upon Hindus !
- Warakaris and Hindus are back-stabbed again !
- No change in clauses imposing restrictions on ‘Dharmacharan’ of Hindus !
Mumbai (Maharashtra) : Anti-superstitions Bill which brings restrictions on Hindus from following ‘Dharmacharan’, has been approved by the Legislature. Yesterday, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had assured that the Act would be passed after carrying out modifications so that there would be no restrictions on Warakaris and performing religious ceremonies; but the promise was not kept. It is the same Bill that was presented in the year 2005 comprising of 13 clauses and 12 schedules. As a result, there will now be restrictions on religious ceremonies of Hindus, ‘keertans’, discourses, telling stories from mythology etc. As per this Act, persons carrying out the above act can be detained under non-bailable offence or can be fined for Rs. 5000 to Rs. 50,000/- or can be imprisoned for 7 years. (Hindus must strongly oppose this Act, in lawful manner, as it prohibits them from performing their religious ceremonies, customs and traditions. – Editor SP) This Bill will be presented in the current session of the Legislative Assembly for approval. If it is not possible to present it in this session, an ordinance will be passed in this connection and it will be presented in the next session for adoption. It is a conspiracy of the Government. It may be mentioned here that ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ had already published that only one word viz. ‘Vaidu’ has been changed in the Bill that was presented in the year 2005 and rest of the Bill is presented as it is. The Legislature has pushed ahead the same Bill.
The Government has not taken into confidence either the Warakaris or any pro-Hindu organization. Yesterday, when Mr. Ganapatrao Deshmukh raised a query on this subject, the approval of Legislature was granted in one night. It is an alarm bell for Hindus !
