Senior social worker Anna Hazare extended support by Warakaris !

Pune (Maharashtra) : Let the Government make any hue and cry, the so-called anti-superstitions Bill is going to brand the pilgrimage undertaken by warakaris as a superstition. How can ‘puja’ be termed as superstition when it is performed for God? Does this Government, which is bringing such Acts, know the meaning of the word ‘shraddha’?, asked H. B. P. Narhari Maharaj Chaudhary, a secretary of Maharashtra Warakari Mahamandal. A protest rally was organized at Alandi to show opposition to the anti superstitions Bill proposed by the Maharashtra Government and Narhari Maharaj addressed the participants. He also declared support of the Warakaris for Anna Hazare, a senior social worker who has undertaken fast in Delhi for passing of anti-corruption ‘Jan Lokpal’ Bill. He said that a delegation of Warakaris will go to Delhi and take part in the agitation staged by Anna Hazare.

More than 125 warakaris and citizens were present on the occasion.

H. B. P. Narhari Maharaj said further, “The Chief Minister of Maharashtra announced that the anti-superstitions Act would be passed soon. He has gone back on his promise to discuss the Bill with Warakaris. It is our strong demand that the promise given by the CM has to be kept.” The rally which started from Bhairavnath Temple, the ‘Gramdevata’ was concluded at Saint Dnyaneshwar Mandir Mahadwar taken via the route of circumambulation. Mr. Ramesh Gogavale, the municipal councilor, Mr. Sunil Dhanavat, the District coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for Pune, Nagar and Nashik were also present. The rally was concluded with singing of ‘Pasaydaan’.
