Nagpur: HJS demand withdrawal of Anti-Superstitions Act

Nagpur (Maharashtra): Maharashtra Government and the Minister for Social Justice Shivajirao Moghe had given clear assurance few days ago that the said Bill would not be passed without discussing it with Warakari Sampradaya, Dharmacharyas, Saints and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS); but without keeping their word, the Government has hatched a plot to pass the Bill in the on-going budgetary session. The proposed ‘Anti-superstitions Act’, which breaks people’s faith, should be cancelled. HJS held demonstrations at Munje Chowk near Maharashtra Bank for the above demand. A signature drive was also undertaken to collect signatures of the people who are against the proposed Act. 

National ‘keertankar’ Shri. Yogesh Maharaj Salegaonkar from Selu, Parbhani, national ‘keertankar’ H. B. P. Piyush Dhumakekar from Nagpur, Mrs. Mamata Chincholkar, of Tejaswini Vichar Manch and zonal Vice President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Mr. Vijay Kate, Mukund Deshpande and Raghunandan Agrawal of ‘Yoga Vedanta Samiti’, Mr. Ramesh Agrawal, ‘Dharma-jagaran’ Convener of RSS and members of Sanatan Sanstha and HJS were present on the occasion. A representation will be submitted to the Government demanding cancellation of the said Act.
