Issue of passing proposed anti-superstitions Act

Hindus should learn a lesson from HJS fighting against the anti-Hindu proposed Act and they should protest with all their might, in lawful manner, against the proposed Act !

Mumbai: The proposed anti-superstition Act brings restrictions on following ‘Dharmacharan’ and is therefore, anti-Constitution. Such Act should not be presented in the current session of Legislative Assembly and if presented, should be strongly opposed. The above demand was made by a delegation of HJS with the Minister for Social Justice Shivajirao Moghe, Minister for Social Justice (for State) Sachin Ahir, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Harshavardhan Patil, Chief Minister’s PRO Satish Lalit, Opposition Leader Mr. Eknath Khadase, BJP MLA Mr. Devendra Phadanavis and Shiv Sena group leader in Legislative Assembly Mr. Subhash Desai.

Mr. Shivaji Vatkar, the District – coordinator of HJS from Mumbai, Thane and Raigad said, “The old oppressive Bill presented in the year 2005 has been kept as it is except changing its title and the Government is in a hurry to pass this Act; therefore, the Government is being accused of misleading the people. This Act will impose restrictions on ‘Dharmacharan’ and following ‘Dharmacharan’ will be an offence under this Act. The Government has also not kept its promise of inviting Warkari Sampradaya and HJS for discussions leading to strong state-wide agitations.”

Various leaders of the Opposition parties said, “We had opposed this Act earlier and stopped the Government from passing the same. We have been apprised of the issue by H. B. P. Narhari Maharaj Chaudhary of Warkari Sect and this time also, we will oppose the Act.” Leaders of the ruling parties said, “We will check whether any amendments have been made to the old Act and call you for discussions. We will try to remove whatever is objectionable and present new Bill.”

We will not allow the Government to pass anti-superstitions Act ! – H. B. P. Anil Maharaj Badave, Pandharpur

The existing Acts are enough for eradication of superstitions. It is the dictatorial of the Government to say that an ordinance would be passed for adopting this Act. The Government sends 5 officers to conduct inquiry into the wealth of H. H. Satya Saibaba’s Trust. This shows that the Government is not really bothered about Dharma etc. Whatever is necessary to cancel the proposed Act, will be done by Saints; still, if the Government passes the Act, millions of people will take to roads.”
