‘Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh’ opposes anti-superstitions Act !

Mumbai (Maharashtra) : Maharashtra Government is taking over management of Hindu temples and robbing Hindus’ places of worship; on the other hand, it is preparing to ban ritualistic worship, sacred fire etc. performed in temples by passing anti-superstitions Act; therefore, ‘Mandir ani Dharmik Sanstha Mahasangh (Temples and Religious Organizations Confederation)’, Maharashtra will oppose the proposed Act. Memoranda were submitted to the Chief Minister, Minister for Social Justice and many MLAs on behalf of ‘Mahasangh’. A meeting of office-bearers of ‘Mahasangh’ was held at mini ‘Shabrimala’ temple at Kanjur Marg, Mumbai for opposing anti-Hindu Acts which was attended by Mr. Ramesh Sanil of ‘Mahasangh’, Mr. Shivaji Vatkar, the District-coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad, Mr. Kashinath Parab, HJS member, Mr. Ravindran Manannur, the President of Keraliya Kendriya Kshetra Paripalan Samiti and office bearers of other temples.

Information was given in detail on the detrimental clauses in the said Act in this meeting and there was discussion on the same. It was decided to hold meetings in different temples to oppose the anti-superstitions Act which is aimed at eradicating Dharma, culture and traditions. It was also decided to meet the State Governor and Chief Minister and submit the memorandum to them in this context.
