Belgaum : ‘Dharmadhvaj pujan’ was carried out first by Shri. Pankaj Ghadi, a former member of ‘Gram-panchayat’ along with his wife in the beginning of ‘dindi’ at Barrister Nath Pai Chowk. Shri. Yallappa Patil, an activist of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) blew conch. ‘Bharat-natyam’ dance was presented by Sou. Madhuri Bondre of ‘Vaishnavi Nrutyalaya’ along with her students, viz. Kum. Saundarya Jaganur, Kum. Prachi Patravali and Kum. Pragati Hiremath. The ‘dindi’ was taken out from Barrister Nath Pai Chowk and concluded near Renuka Restaurant on Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Road. More than 400 devout Hindus including seekers of Sanatan Sanstha and activists of HJS participated in ‘dindi’.
Sou. Ujjwala Gawade of Sanatan Sanstha and Shri. Guruprasad Gauda of HJS expressed their views; so also Shri. Bhujang Chavan.

‘Warkaris’ from Nandihalli; members of ‘Swami Samarth Sampradaya’, Belgaum; young activists of ‘Shri Shivapratishthan Hindustan’ from Dhamane, devout women, members of Kadsiddheshwar Gayan Sangh’ of ‘Kurbar’ community from Belgaum participated in ‘dindi’ with their drums-squad. Students of ‘Tayquando’ Club presented few types of Karate and self-defence tactics. Young women from ‘Ranaragini Division’ had dressed as Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, Rani of Kittur etc and young men staged demo on self-defence creating awareness amongst people towards its importance. Children dressed as revolutionaries and great national leaders drew attention of all. Women from Khanapur and Gokak played traditional ‘phugadi’ increasing enthusiasm in whole atmosphere.
‘Dharmadhvaj pujan’ was performed by Shri. Anil Kurankar, a devout Hindu activist on the route of ‘dindi’, along with his wife, near Shahapur Mahadev Mandir and Shri. Sagar Keru, with his wife, also performed such ‘puja’ at Bank of India Chowk.
