We’re sure Modi government will build Ram temple : VHP

Haridwar / New Delhi : After waiting for the Lok Sabha polls to be over, Vishwa Hindu Parishad has once again raised the demand for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya with the saffron organisations saying the judiciary has not been “sensitive” towards Hindu sentiments.

Construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya remained at the core of discussions on the second and last day of the meeting of VHP Kendriya Margdarshak Mandal in Haridwar on Thursday.

VHP passed a resolution stating, “It will not be right even on the part of the judiciary to turn away from its responsibility…. Due to the discrepancy in the verdict of Lucknow bench of Allahabad HC, the Hindu society did not get complete justice. This topic of national importance has been pending in Supreme Court since 2011. But, it is not even in its priority list.”

Speaking to the media, VHP working president Alok Kumar said “We are confident a grand Ram temple will be built at Ayodhya by the Modi government,” Kumar said.

Swami Paramanand, chief of Akhand Param Dham in Haridwar where the meet was held, said, “Even if the SC verdict is against temple construction, the government could take the ordinance route to achieve the goal.”

Uttarakhand BJP spokesperson and cabinet minister Madan Kaushik said the faith reposed by VHP on the Modi government would be honoured.

“All impediments in the way of the construction of Ram temple will be removed so that a grand temple comes up at Ayodhya without delay.”
