Encouraging response to series of lectures held on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Kalyan

Kalyan (Maharashtra): On the occasion of ‘Maharashtra Day’, local municipal councilor of MNS Mr. Sharad Pavshe had organized a lecture on ‘Life history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’ at Durganagar in Katemanavali area. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) was invited to conduct a lecture on the topic. Mr. Prasad Vadake of HJS enthralled the members of audience with his fiery thoughts. The program was attended by about 150 devotees of Shivaji Maharaj.
Mr. Vadake narrated the incident of Bajiprabhu Deshpande who fought with the Mughals for 12 hours despite getting injured because of his loyalty to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He also described the bravery exhibited by Shiva Kashid and Baji Prabhu during the siege of Panhala Fort. He said that today’s condition is like Shivaji would be born once again; but we youth members would die of our addiction to ‘Gutkha’. He made an appeal to the participants to take an oath of not doing any act which would malign the name of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
The program was concluded with singing of a poem on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Mr. Vadake was felicitated by presenting him a shawl and sreephal (coconut). Exhibition of Sanatan’s ‘sattvik’ products was also put up at the venue.

2. Few youth going in a marriage procession, left it half way and attended the program.
