Pramod Mutalik

Bengaluru (Karnataka) : On 25th May 2017, during a religious program held at Tadagani (Dist. Shivmogga), Shri. Pramod Mutalik, the President of ‘Shriram Sena’ made a provoking speech, was the accusation made against him by police that was dismissed by Karnataka High Court. One-member Bench of Justice P. N. Dinesh of Karnataka High Court, however, cancelled the case and related inquiry into this case.

1. Advocate Arun Shyam pleading for Shri. Mutalik stated, “No untoward or provoking incident took place during the program in which Shri. Mutalik participated. Nobody had filed even a complaint. A policeman deployed on duty at the venue of the program lodged a complaint, based on which police filed a case on their own. (Have police filed such case against a person like Owaisi for his statement on eliminating Hindus? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat). The Government also didn’t think rationally before granting permission to file such case. The officer has to collect proofs and submit them to the Government; but one-sided permission was granted by the Government; therefore, the case should be revoked.”

2. Shri. Pramod Mutalik had said in his speech during a program held at Tadagani, “Every Hindu must have a sword at home. Hindus should not have any financial dealings with Muslims. Shiralkoppa has become a mini –Pakistan.” Based on these statements, a case was filed, accusing him of trying to create communal disharmony.
