Malakapur (Dist. Kolhapur) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) paid homage to great warrior Bajiprabhu Deshpande on the occasion of his Martyrdom Day near his tomb on 17th July despite heavy rains. Devout Hindu activists viz. Shri. Ramesh Padval, Shri. Jitendra Pundit, Shri. Vikram Morbale and activists of HJS viz. Vaidya Sanjay Gandhi and Shri. Prasad Kulkarni were present on the occasion. Devout Hindu participants felt sorry about the pathetic condition of the shed at Pavankhind which was a witness to the great history created at this place. Vaidya Sanjay Gandhi said, “Bajiprabhu Deshpande and Fulajiprabhu Deshpande fought at Pavankhind along with only 250
‘mawlas’ which has become a martyr place now. Such loyal ‘mawlas’ are regularly paid homage by HJS since past few years.”
