Dy. Regional Magistrate Vanmati C. should give compensation of Rs. 10,000/- each for suppressing two devout Hindu activists from Nandurbar ! : Order issued by Court

Order to conduct inquiry into police and administrative officer

Hindus expect that such government officers should be suspended permanently instead of only punishing them with fine ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat

Nandurbar : Police had served notice, out of spite, of banishment against Dr. Narendra Patil of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Shri. Mayur Chaudhari, a devout Hindu activist but the order of banishment was cancelled by Sessions Court in last November. These two activists had only asked police during a meeting of ‘Peace Committee’ held during Ganesh festival, about action taken against illegal loudspeakers for which Dy. Regional Magistrate Vanmati C  had issued notice to them banishing them for 6 days. It was one-sided ridiculous order issued out of malice. A petition was therefore, filed with Sambhajinagar Bench of Mumbai High Court against the biased order; demanding departmental inquiry.

Hearing was held on the petition and order has been issued for conducting departmental inquiry into concerned police and administrative officer and grant of compensation of Rs. 10,000-/- each to Dr. Narendra Patil and Shri. Mayur Chaudhari. ‘Pujya’ advocate Suresh Kulkarni pleaded on behalf of activists and advocate Umesh Bhadgaokar also helped in this case. Hearing was held before the two-member Bench of Justice Nalawade and Justice Sonawane.

1.During a meeting of ‘Peace Committee’ held at Nandurbar, Dr. Narendra Patil of HJS had only asked police, “You are warning Ganesh festival committees of taking action as per Court’s orders; so are you going to take action against illegal loudspeakers hooting before 6.00 a.m.?”

2. Dy. Regional Magistrate had taken banishment action against 77 people, including Dr. Patil and Shri. Chaudhari. Police showed false reasons for taking action against Dr. Patil. Police included names of Dr. Patil and Shri. Chaudhari in the list of other criminals during Ganesh Festival and thus defamed them. Three persons including Dr. Patil went to District Sessions Court against this order and the Court quashed banishment order by treating it as illegal.

3. It was pleaded before Sambhajinagar Bench of Mumbai High Court during hearing of the petition for conducting inquiry into concerned police and administrative officers that such action has led to defamation of the petitioners; therefore, they should be paid compensation.

We shall fight, in lawful manner, against unjust government administrators ! – Shri. Sunil Ghanavat, HJS

The verdict passed by the Court indicates suppression of devout Hindu activists by police and dy. Regional Magistrate. Such anti-Hindu police and administration are throttling democracy. We, however, have faith in judicial system and in God; therefore, persons doing injustice have been punished. We shall continue our fight in lawful manner, against unreasonable government administrators, stated Shri. Sunil Ghanavat, State Coordinator of HJS for Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh in this context.
