Amaravati (Maharashtra): On the birth anniversary of Swatantryaveer Savarkar, as per the Hindu calendar, humble regards were paid to him by lighting 111 lamps in the area of Sree Sant Gadage Maharaj Temple. Devout and patriotic Hindus joined the members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on 23rd May between 7.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. in this program and created awareness among the people.
Mr. Chandubhau Bomare, the Director of ‘Bomare Jewelers’ and former municipal councilor of BJP performed ‘puja’ of the picture of Veer Savarkar and offered garland to the photograph. Patriotic songs written by Veer Savarkar, were played at the venue creating enthusiasm in the atmosphere. People registered their names with HJS to join the group for sending SMS. Invitation for Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha scheduled for 28th May at 6.30 p.m. at Sri Hanuman Mandir, behind Ajinkya Colony was also extended on the occasion.
