Public Ganesh festival committees resolve to celebrate festival in ideal manner

Yaval : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) held a meeting at public library in Gavat Bazar to coordinate between all public Ganesh festival committees. More than 60 people including office bearers of 16 festival committees, other dignitaries and devout Hindus attended this meeting.

The meeting was started with blowing of conch. Sou. Nilima Neve welcomed all attendees and explained the purpose of holding such meeting. A VCD on ideal way of celebrating Ganesh festival and present reality of celebrations was shown. Sou. Kshipra Juvekar of HJS spoke about present nature of celebrating Ganesh festival and need for creating awareness. Shri. Shreyas Pisolkar of HJS explained how we can create awareness towards national and other issues through the medium of public festivals. Many committees decided to display boards during the festival at their venue, with matters creating such awareness. Few committees have decided to organize lectures. Shri. Prashant Juvekar of HJS also addressed the participants.

Highlights

1. There was electricity supply problem for some time during the meeting but nobody was disturbed and the program was continued.

2. Members in all age groups attended the meeting.
