New Delhi : Statues of Swatantryaveer Savarkar, Netaji Bose and Bhagat Singh installed by ‘Akhil Bharatita Vidyarthi Prishad’ at Delhi University were garlanded on 23rd August by activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Sanatan Sanstha’s seekers. Representation was submitted at the office of Higher Education Directorate by Shri. Kartik Salunkhe and Shri. Shriram Luktuke of HJS and Shri. Abhay Vartak of Sanatan Sanstha.
Congress-sponsored ‘National Students’ Union of India (NSUI)’s activists had garlanded statue of Swa. Savarkar with shoes so also had painted it with black colour. Communists’ ‘All India Students’ Association’ had assisted NSUI in this connection. These organizations had criticized Savarkar as a traitor. In this background, HJS and Sanatan garlanded the statues.
