Dombivali (Maharashtra): The present young generation is attracted towards high posts like information and technology, engineer etc. There is no proper ideal before them. It is necessary that everyone should act in similar manner as Veer Savarkar did earlier. We must pay respect to our language, motherland, Hinduism and honour our nationalism. History is not just to be read and forgotten; but it should be understood and mistakes committed in the past should be rectified. Today, we shall make a resolve to establish Hindu Nation as expected by Veer Savarkar by uniting Hindus for accomplishing our mission. The above views were expressed by Mr. Ramesh Shinde, the spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for the States of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa. The program was attended by 300 patrons of Veer Savarkar.

A lecture on the topic of ‘Nationalism of Savarkar – today’s need’ was organized on the occasion of 129th birth anniversary of Veer Savarkar on behalf of Shiv Sena Division 84 and HJS at P. B. Bhave Hall. The program started with Mr. Shinde lighting a lamp and garlanding picture of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Mr. Sadanand Tharaval, the city-chief of Shiv Sena garlanded the photograph of Veer Savarkar. Mr. Tatyasaheb Mane, Convener of Dombivali Constituency of Shiv Sena, Mr. Arvind Birmode, its dy. city-chief and Mr. Kishore Mankame, a member of Education Committee of Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation were present on the stage. Mr. Tushar Shinde, the Shakha-chief of Shiv Sena welcomed Mr. Ramesh Shinde by presenting him with a shawl and bouquet. The program was compeered by Mr. Mahesh Mulik and concluded with singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ by Mrs. Bhakti Kulkarni. Mr. Shinde addressed all Shiv Sainiks and patrons of Savarkar when he said further, “We must have pride in our mother tongue Marathi. Savarkar gave Marathi alternatives like ‘Sansad’, ‘Amadar’, ‘Khasadar’ for English words; but many MPs have forgotten Savarkar. Many MPs remain absent for programs held in Sansad Bhavan (Parliament) which is very unfortunate.”

Mr. Tharaval said, “There is complete apathy towards our great national heroes. The present generation needs to know the sacrifices made by Savarkar. Like Savarkar had asked Hindus to unite, even today’s youth should take an oath to unite.”
