Theft in Saint Gajanan Maharaj Temple at Tryambakeshwar involving goods worth Rs. 5.50 lakhs
Nashik (Maharashtra) : From Gajanan Maharaj Temple of Saint Gajanan Maharaj Trust, robbers stole silver goods weighing about 13 kilograms and other ornaments besides Rs. 25,000/- cash from the donation box. The total stolen goods are worth Rs. 5,50,000/- . A complaint to that effect has been lodged with local police station. The theft must have taken place between 2.00 a.m. and 5.00 a.m. as the gate of the temple on West side was broken to carry out the theft. It was realized when the priest went to the temple in the morning.
