Denigration of Lord Ganesh by Dhoop company
They explained to him that how printing a picture of Lord Ganesh on the packaging box result in making mockery of the deity. Shri. Marathe said that even earlier, a customer who was also a seeker of Sanatan, had told him about the same; but nobody other than him, had objected to it. In fact, there is more demand to his product because of the picture. Upon this, Shri. Mankar told him that he found the empty box of ‘dhoop’ on the road side.
He asked Shri. Marathe that if a deity, kept in the altar and regularly worshipped by us, is found thrown in garbage, would he not feel bad? Shri. Mankar gave him an example of a picture of Prophet Mohammad published by a newspaper in Canada when Muslims all over the world had condemned the paper. Shri. Mankar explained to Shri. Marathe that we should not make mockery of our deities or be indifferent and do something that would be detrimental to our own Hindu religion. Shri. Marathe listened to Shri Mankar and later agreed to take necessary action.
(Hindus have become so used to generating money in the name of God that they do not see how they are going to harm themselves by putting their pictures on products. Till Hindus are not educated on their Dharma, the situation will not change. Editor)
