Theft in Jain Mandir at Bibwewadi (Dist. Pune)

Pune (Maharashtra) : Incident of theft in Adeshwar Bhagawan Jain Mandir occurred in Gangadham Society at Bibwewadi. It came to light in the early morning of Sunday. Silver robe of the idol, 3 silver ‘chhatra  (canopy)’ and silver puja material; in all 3.5 kilos of silver and Rs. 7000/- cash was found stolen. A complaint to the above effect has been lodged by Mr. Rakesh Mehta with the police. So far robbery has taken place in 9 temples in Southern suburbs of Pune; but in none of the cases, the culprits have been nabbed. (Such police machinery sustaining on the money paid by Hindus but indifferent to the thefts in Hindu temples is not required ! – Editor SP)
