Mumbai: A memorandum was handed over to the District Collector, Mr. Chadrashekhar Oak   in order to stop the denigration of the plastic Flags on a large scale on the Independence Day. Mr. Milind Poshe, Mrs. Vidya Kamerkar, Mr. Ashish Mhatre, Mr. Kunal Cheulkar, Mr. Aniket Kamerkar were present at that time. Mr. Oak complemented the Samiti for its commendable work and also gave an assurance of ‘taking appropriate steps at the earliest’. Such type of representations were also given to the Chief of Mumbai Police  and to the Commissioner of Police on behalf of the Samiti.

Mumbai: Lot of National Flags of plastic or paper are made and distributed and sold on Republic Day and Independence Day. After the Flag Hoisting, these Flags are seen littering around in gutters etc. They are stamped upon by the people unaware. It causes dishonour to the National Flag. HJS is trying lawfully to stop this kind of dishonour and to create awareness among the people for the last several years.

HJS is getting very good response for this mission from the society. This year also HJS is undertaking the same campaign of ‘Honour the National Flag’ and the workers of the Samiti, Mr. Kashiram Parab and Mr. Satish Sonar have submitted a memorandum regarding honouring the flag, to Tehsildar office (Kurla-Mulund) and in the office of Deputy Police Commissioner circle – 7, Mulund.
