Kalyan (Maharashtra): Lot of National Flags of plastic or paper are made and distributed/sold on Independence Day. After the Flag Hoisting ceremony these Flags are seen littering around in gutters etc. They are stamped upon by the people unaware. It causes dishonour to the National Flag. In order to stop the insult to the flag a memorandum demanding the ban on the National flags made of paper and plastic is forwarded on behalf of HJS to the Tehsildar Mr Nitin Chavhan. Mr. Chavhan congratulated the delegates for undertaking such a mission and assured them that an order will be issued to that effect to all the shopkeepers. Adv. Mrs. Sudha Joshi of Durga Channel, Dr. Upendra Dahake, Medical President, BJP, Mr. Ajay Sambhus, HJS coordinator of Thane Dist. were present in Tehsildar’s office at that time.
