Accounts of 150 Odisha temples to undergo audit, what about mosques and churches ?

As per a recently published report, The Odisha Law department directed the State Principal Accountant General to examine the annual income and expenditures of 150 temples and mutts across the state.

Among total 150 temples, the accounts of 17 mutts in Khurda and 10 temples and one mutt in Bhubaneswar will be audited.

It should be noted that ‘Secular’ Govt has ordered audit of only Hindu temples. Has it ordered any such audit of mosques, madrassas and churches ? Hindus should ask explanation of this discrimination to the Govt and save temples from their clutches !

Report further states that the temples and one mutt, which will undergo audit in Bhubaneswar, included Bharti Mutt, Saraswati Temple (Jagamara), Manchanath Temple (Mancheswar), Saptasati Temple (Rasulgarh), Giri Durga Temple (Janpath), Nilakantheswar Temple (BDA Colony, Chandrasekharpur), Patitapaban Temple (Laxmisagar), Lakheswar Mahadev Temple (Baramunda), Maa Bhuasuni Temple, Dadhibaman Jew Temple and Mukti Chintamaniswar Temple.

Similarly, the temples including Bata Bhuasuni Temple at Janla, Lakheswar Mahadev at Nakhara and Bhagabati Temple at Banapur will be audited.

The move came after massive amassment of temple properties came to fore during account audits of 61 temples in the state.
