Panvel (Maharashra): Independence Day is going to be celebrated all over the country soon. On this occasion plastic and paper flags are distributed on a large scale. But parents and teachers have forgotten to inculcate pride for the National Flag in the minds of the present generation. As a result the National Flags used on 15th August with great honour are seen littered around on roads, gutters, etc . Besides plastic flags do not get destroyed easily and we have tolerate this disrespect to the flags for a long time. In order to stop such dishonour to the flag and to demand an immediate remedy to ban the plastic flags, a representation to that effect is handed over to the Honourable Tahsildar and the Police Inspector at Panvel.

Mr. Motilal Jain, President of Jain Organisation, Mr. Abhay Vartak, spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha, Mrs. Anuradha Mule of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) , Mrs. Usha Ghadge, Mrs. Kamal Salvi, Mrs. Vidya Joshi, Ms. Ramani Gadkari, Mr. Deepak Kulkarni, Mr. Avinash Patil, Mr. Milind Poshe, and other proud Hindus, Mr. Pradeep Ghrat, Mr. Gajanan Patil, Mr. Prahlad Naik, Mr. Nana Balaram Khot, Mr. V.B. Gharat, Mr. Navneet Gharat, Mr. Sanjay Dongre, Mrs. Meena Joshi, Leela Deshpande, and others were there at that time.

Highlights – 1. People waiting outside the Tahsildar’s to get their work done when informed about the campaign, readily joined the group presenting the representation.
