Issue of robbery in Viroba temple, Solapur : Culprits still at large

It is 1 and half months since the temple robbery but culprits still at large ; furor among devotees
Mangalvedha (Dist. Solapur, Maharashtra): A silver idol weighing 3.5 kg and other silver ornaments were stolen from Biroba Temple in Hunnur besides the gold eyes donated by devotees and other gold ornaments on the idol. The robbers had broken open the doors of this temple and stolen the ornaments in the midnight of 4th June. It has been 1 and half months since then; but police have found no clue. This has created displeasure among the devotees. When our correspondent called Police Inspector Suhas Bhosale of Mangalvedha Police Station to inquire about the case; he was informed that a squad was sent to Karnataka State; but police were unable to nab the culprits. Mangalvedha (Dist. Solapur, Maharashtra): A siiver Idol and gold ornaments were looted on Saturday midnight at Viroba Mandir at Hunnur in Solapur Dist. by breaking open the door of the temple. The valuables were worth four and a half lacs of rupees. The citizens are very furious about it. The things stolen include a silver idol of Viroba weighing 3 and half kg, 1 and half kg silver stick, so also eyes offered by devotees. Priest of the temple, Salappa Dharma Pujari has filed a complaint regarding the theft. Inspector Suhas Bhosle is investigating the case and 2 squads are sent for inspection at two different places informed Police Hawaldar Mirza.
