US Navy credits Yoga for wellness of its sailors

Yoga has become very popular throughout the world from last few years and millions of people have benefited from it. Research at many places and parts of the World have proved how much effective Yoga is for mankind.

Recently US Navy from its official Twitter said that ‘Did you know that #Yoga is one of the many ways that Sailors can get their mind and body right at sea to stay Navy fit ?’

Once again it highlights the greatness of Yoga. While many people and intellectuals claim that religion has nothing to do with Yoga. We would like to mention that Yoga has a religion and it is Hinduism. Roots of Yoga lie in ancient Sanatan Dharma only and hence no one can deny this fact.

Yoga finds mention in Hindu scriptures like Bhagwat Geeta. It is the Yoga-gurus from Bharat who had introduced it to the rest of the world. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali were compiled by Sage Patanjali centuries ago. Efforts of great thinkers like Swami Vivekananda made Yoga popular in western world.

Yoga keeps a person fit physically, mentally and spiritually. It is more than just a physical exercise as it also has meditative and spiritual core. In Hindu Dharma we believe in the ideal of सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः (May all become happy. May none fall ill) and Yoga surely helps a person to live such life. It is for all.
