Campaign of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti – ‘Save the honour of the National Flag’

Nashik (Maharashtra) : Plastic National Flags are for sale everywhere on Independence Day and after the Flag hoisting ceremony they are found scattered on roads, gutters, in filthy places, thereby causing disrespect to the National Flag. In order to stop this disrespect and to maintain its honour representations are given to Mr. R.V. Game, acting Collector, Mr. Dilip Khete, Education Head Mr. Andhale, Education Officer and Mrs. Devyani Pharande, Deputy Mayor, demanding a ban on the production and sale of plastic Flags. Dilip Khete, education officer, assured the delegates that the said issue will be placed at the time of the meeting of the Jilha Parishad Shikshan Mandal and a circular will be issued to the schools in that regard.

He also invited the workers of Hindu Janajagruti Samti (HJS) to attend the said meeting. Education officer also assured that he would take up the issue in their meeting and would convince the students in all schools about the disrespect caused due to plastic National Flags. Deputy Mayor, Mrs. Devyani Pharande said that, the issue was very serious and she would also take action in its concern. I personally will discuss the matter of banning the production and sale of the plastic National Flags in the District, with the Collector, Police Commissioner, Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, in a meeting and take the necessary action. I shall also issue a notice for publicity to all the news papers. We shall put up banners in order to create awareness among the public. She also praised the Samiti for having undertaken very apt mission.
