Chennai: Hindu Janajagruti Samiti recently conducted lectures on the topic of ‘Importance of Hindu Dharma’ during the yoga sessions conducted by Patanjali Yoga Samiti in Chennai in various areas such as Ashok Nagar (10 July 11; 35 participants), Anna Nagar (2 July 11 ; 60 participants), Mylapore (29 June 11; 30 participants), Chintadripet (26 June 11; 50 participants) and K.K. Nagar (19 June 11; 70 participants).
These lectures were arranged promptly by Mr. Bhaskar, who is a chief coordinator in PYS. Sri Bhaskar had promised to arrange lectures when he listened to a brief talk by HJS volunteer during the PYS program in Chennai on June 4th during Baba Ramdev’s fast.
The importance of Hindu Dharma, the necessity of following Hindu Dharma in our day-to-day activities and the ill-effects of following western culture was explained with the help of digital flex. The significance of Gurupournima was also explained and the details of the celebration venue were also given.
The participants were very receptive and listened attentively. They also noted down the points which were being explained. Mobile numbers were also collected to send Jago Hindu SMS. The participants demonstrated interest in the various sattvik products and holy books. The coordinator of the centres were very happy with the response and invited Hindu Janjagruti Samiti to conduct such satsangs whenever possible in various areas all over Chennai.
