Maharashtra Government betrays Warkari Sampradaya, pro-Hindu and Jain organizations !

The Government that first cheated Anna Hazare who has been fighting against corruption; then very callously crushed agitation started by Yoga-rhushi Ramdev Baba against black money, is now cheating innocent Warkari Sect by giving false promises and doing whetever it pleases. Government led by both the Congress parties is cheating citizens consequently Hindus; but is taking great care of Muslims. O Hindus, at least now unite to teach a lesson to Congress Government. – Editor SP

Mumbai: It has now become clear that the Congress Government is going to present the controversial old anti-supestitions Bill of the year 2005 in the forthcoming monsoon session.  On one hand, it has been holding meetings with Saints from Warkari Sect, pro-Hindu and Jain organizations and Dy. Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was emphasizing that ‘Clause 13 detrimental to Dharma has been removed. This Act will not be made applicable to any religious rituals and rites and Dharma’ in the meeting held on 19th July with Warkaris and pro-Hindu activists; on the other hand, it is learnt that the Congress Minister for Social Justice Mr. Shivajirao Moghe has sent the same old Bill with the clause 13 to the Legislature for presenting in the session. This shows that the Government has in a way misled Warkari Sect, pro-Hindu and Jain organizations and betrayed them.

Maharashtra Government had given an assurance that ‘Discussions will be held with Warkaris and the Anti-Superstitions Act will be passed only after considering their suggestions.’ The Government, however, did not discuss the Bill with Warkaris and had planned to put it up in the summer session in May 2011. The Warkaris had warned the Government that the Chief Minister would not be allowed to perform ‘puja’ of Lord Vitthal at Pandharpur forcing the Government to soften its stand.  At that time, NCP had invited Warkaris for discussions so as to safeguard their votes. A copy of the draft of the Bill was also given to Warkaris seeking their suggestions. An amended clause 13 was included in the Bill assuring that ‘Acts involving religious ceremonies and rituals will be exempt from things mentioned in this clause.’

In the meeting held on 19th July 2011, the Government approved of the amended clause when read out by Warkaris. (Lier Govt. ! – Editor SP); also to pacify Warkaris, various ministers from NCP viz. Deputy Chief minister Pawar, Home Minister R. R. Patil, Minister for tribal development Mr. Babanrao Pachpute, Minister for Water Supply, Mr. Lakshmanrao Dhobale etc. assured warkaris that there would not be attack on Dharma. As a result, the Warkaris developed belief in the Government that now the Act was amended and they would not have any problem; but in the same meeting, a copy of the final draft of the Bill was provided to Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Jain organizations by officers of Law and Justice Department of the Government seeking suggestions for modifications to the proposed Bill. It was then realized that the same old clause 13 included in the old draft of the Act put up in the year 2005, was kept as it is.

Some high-level officers informed that the draft of the Bill has been finalized by Social Justice Department and has approval of the Law Departmant; therefore, it has been sent to Legislature and it was not possible to accept modifications to the Bill now. The same draft would be presented in the Assembly session. As a result, modifications if any, to the said Act will have to be put up through the medium of pro-Hindu MLAs for further consideration.’ It has been proved that the Government has betrayed Warkaris for the second time. It is also clear that the meeting called on 19th July was a ‘farce’ and it has generated strong displeasure among Warkaris.

Internal strife between Congress and NCP

The discord between Congress and NCP has also come out in the open. When the Ministry for Social Justice is with the Congress, NCP ministers were holding meetings. The Congress ministers did not attend and in a way, boycotted the meeting and on the other hand, Congress ministers are seeing to it that NCP ministers would not be able to keep their promises. This has, however, resulted in harassement of religious Hindu people.

Hindus, do not be afraid even if the Act is passed !

The Congress would be totally wiped out in the next elections and non-Congress parties will rule this country. Those responsible for passing of this Act will be severely punished and the Act will be withdrawn.

Anti-Hindu Congressmen say, “ We are also Hindus !”

Some of the Congress Ministers, who are in a hurry to get the Anti-Superstitions Act passed, claimed that they were also Hindus; therefore, do not be surprised as these ministers are only Hindus by birth who know nothing about Hindu Dharma and are, in fact, Hindu-haters.
