Mumbai: Shiv Sena strongly opposes the proposed Anti-Superstitions Act. Voice will be raised against this Act in the Legislature, assured Mr. Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena leader and MP. Mr. Shivaji Vatkar, the district coordinator of HJS for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad, advocate Veerendra Ichalkaranjikar and H. B. P. Rameshwar Maharaj Shastri of Warkari Prabodhan Samiti met him at the office of ‘Dainik Saamna’ at Prabhadevi. Mr. Raut said, “The Chief Executive of Shiv Sena Mr. Uddhav Thackeray also strongly opposes this Act. The issue will be discussed in the meeting to be held before the Legislative assembly session. All MLAs of Shiv Sena and BJP will oppose the proposed Act in both the Houses.” HJs members also met Mr. Prem Shukla, the executive Editor of ‘Dopahar ka Saamna’. Mr. Shukla said, “Awareness will be created about this anti-Hindu Act by giving it due publicity.”
Opposition leader Eknath Khadase also assures to oppose the Act !
The Opposition leader in the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Eknath Khadase was also paid a visit by members of HJS. He was informed that the Government had hatched a plot to pass the same old Act attacking Hindu Dharma. None of the suggestions made by opposition parties had been incorporated in the draft of the Act. Mr. Khadase said, “You collect the information and give me. We will oppose the Act.”
