Pune (Maharashtra): Under the pressure exerted by few atheists, the Government is trying to pass this anti-Hindu Dharma Anti-Superstitions Act. This is a conspiracy against Hindu Dharma. Unless the Government is annulled, true history and culture of Hindus will not be preserved, stated H. B. P. Shyam Maharaj Rathod. Demonstrations were held in front of the District Collector’s office by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) against the anti-Hindu Anti-Superstitions Act when he addressed the gathering. He warned that in case the Government tried to pass this Act, people would not hesitate to overthrow the Government. Mr. Parag Gokhale of HJS also addressed the demonstrators. He said that the agitation would go on till the proposed Act is not cancelled.

The Government is planning to pass this Act in the monsoon session. The Act will be an attack on Hindu Dharma. In terms of some clauses under the proposed Act, performing religious ceremonies would be a non-bailable offence. It will take Hindus still farther from following ‘Dharmacharan’. A signature drive was also undertaken during the demonstrations to oppose the said Act. More than 100 devout Hindus took part in the demonstrations. A representation was submitted to the additional District Collector Ganesh Patil demanding cancellation of the proposed Act as it will attack Dharma under the guise of superstitions and impose restrictions in following ‘Dharmacharan’. The proposed communal and targeted violence Act, 2011 should also be cancelled.

Mr. Vilas Dixit of Hindu Mahasabha, Mr. Rambhau Parikh, former Pune city-chief of Shiv Sena, Mr. Bapusaheb Chinchkar, the President of ‘Sanskruti Foundation’, H. B. P. Shankar Maharaj Ingole of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Warakari Education Institute were some of the dignitaries who were present on the occasion.
