Thane (Maharashtra) : After the Guru-Pournima functions held at Sahayog Mandir Hall and Nanjibhai Khimjibhai Thakkar Thanawala Hall, a review meeting was held at New English School to decide about further course of action. The ‘jidnyasus (curious)’ attending the meeting, made a demand to start ‘Dharmashikshan’ classes in the area.
Mrs. Savita Lele of Sanatan Sanstha explained about the ‘Dharmaprasar’ activities undertaken by the Sanstha and Mr. Prashant Surve of HJS told about various HJS campaigns. Mr. Ajay Sambhus explained about the lawful drives undertaken by HJS on different issues, agitations, demonstrations conducted for various causes and success achieved etc. An appeal was made to people to oppose the proposed anti-superstitions Act planned to be passed by the Maharashtra Government as it aims at eradication of faith of Hindus rather than eradication of superstitions. There needs to be an extensive opposition against the proposed Act. All the members attending meeting expressed their readiness to send a letter to the Government raising voice against the Act. They also made a demand to start ‘Dharmashikshan’ classes. Mr. Kishore Kondalekar, a devout Hindu from Bhiwandi has decided to sell ‘sattvik’ products of Sanatan Sanstha and try to get more people subscribe to ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ periodicals. Mrs. Kalpana Teli and Mr. Subhash Kadam were ready to send SMS about different drives of HJS.
