Does the secular Government ever think of utilizing money of religious places of Christians and Muslims for developmental work? How can it then pass an Act for use of temple money? The Govt. could dare to pass such Act only because of lifeless Hindus. Hindus must realize that outwardly the money may seem to have been used for development work but what is the guarantee that in a corrupt State, it will be really used for the said purpose? – Editor SP

Sree Sai Baba Trust Management, Shirdi (Amendment) Ordinance, 2011 passed in Legislative Assembly

Mumbai: The State coffers  are empty for the last few years and the State has taken loan of crores of rupees. It has, therefore, eyeing Hindu temples. Will the Government dare to pass such Acts in respect of followers of other religions; in fact, it has no guts to pass such Acts. If the Government dares to touch worship places of non-Hindus, there will be riots, arson and pandemonium. Mr. Prafull Patel, the then, Aviation Minister had visited Shirdi when he had promised, with Sai Baba as witness, that an airport would be constructed at Shirdi through aid from the Central Government. At least keep your promise. Does not the State Government have any standing with the Central Government now?, was the strong criticism by Opposition leader Eknath Khadase in Legislative Assembly.

Sree Sai Baba Trust Management, Shirdi (Amendment) Ordinance, 2011 was passed in the Legislative Assembly today. In this Act, clause 21 makes provision for use of funds of the Trust. An amendment was made to include provision of basic amenities like a bus-stand, railway station and airport for the convenience of devotees and increase in such facilities. Government departments, corporations, establishments or Government undertakings will be included with prior permission of the Government for providing these facilities. The Government had issued an ordinance on 4th June to the above effect.

Everything for devotees, no misuse of funds – CM

Construction of airport and other basic amenities is for the convenience of devotees only and will not involve any misuse of devotees’ money, claimed Mr. Pruthviraj Chavan, the State Chief Minister. (Will the CM take such stand in case of worship places of Muslims and Christians? – Editor SP) If the Central Government has promised to construct airport, the matter will be followed with the Central Government. As there is urgent need of airport, the Ordinance will be immediately implemented. Some political parties are misconstruing the above decision and holding agitations which should be immediately stopped, appealed Mr. Chavan.

Act passed, to use funds of ‘Shirdi Devasthan’ for developmental work !

July 29, 2011

Mumbai (Maharashtra) : The Government has cast its evil eye on the money donated by Sai – devotees. It has now passed an Act in the Legislative Council to utilize the money received from Shirdi Sansthan for construction of airport, railway stations and bus-stops etc. (It is the duty of the Government to construct airports, railway stations and bus-stops etc. for the people and the Govt. uses money paid by the tax-payers. Why then it wants to use funds collected at Shirdi for development work in Shirdi? In case the Govt. does not have money, it should appoint people to beg money from the citizens; but should not touch the temple money.- Editor SP)

Thousands of devotees go to Shirdi for Sai-darshan and make offerings. Under the name of providing facilities and amenities to the Sai-devotees, the Government made plans to take over these offerings by passing an order on 4th June 2011 and finally passed an Act in this context to loot the Shirdi cache. The Act is going to be amended to confer rights to the trustees so that the money can be used for the Government departments, Govt. corporations, Govt. establishments or undertakings
