Mumbai: HJS creates awareness towards National Flags

Navi Mumbai: You own and carry out responsibilities towards our family; similarly, as a responsible citizen of this country, you should explain to your children that they should not purchase plastic National Flags. Enlighten your relatives, friends etc. on this issue. The above appeal was made by Mr. Rajan Bhurke of Hindi Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) while addressing a parents’ meeting in ‘Shanti Jai’ kindergarten school at Koparkhiarane. He said, “People want to buy plastic national flags as a mark of patriotism on the occasion of Independence Day; but the same flags are thrown on the roads, in gutters, trash etc. after noon. Moreover, they are found lying in such manner for days together. This is an abuse of National Flag."

Mrs. Jayashree tai Patil, the President of Navi Mumbai Mahila Mandal and ‘Shantijai’ held the parents meeting. Mrs. Jayashree Madhavi, the President of Diwa Mahila Mandal, Mrs. Vaishali Patil, , the President of Gaodevi Mahila Mandal, Airoli, Gunabai Sutar, the President of Pragati Mahila Mandal, Vashi, members of Vanita Mahila Mandal and office bearers of ‘Prakalpgrast Mahila Aghadi’, New Mumbai along with 400 parents attended the program.
