Same old Anti-Superstitions Bill of 2005 shown in the program schedule of Legislative Assembly : Bill likely to be presented today !

Recently, officers of the Ministry for Social Justice  had informed that the anti-superstitions Bill was not likely to be presented in the ongoing monsoon session and ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ had warned Hindus that Congress was likely to betray them and it has come true. The Congress is making preparations to present the Bill now. Anti-Hindu Congress rulers might get the Bill passed on the basis of majority; therefore, continue the strong fight, in lawful manner.

  • Govt. once again betrays Warakaris and pro-Hindus
  • No amendments in the new Bill
  • Clause 13 imposing ban on religious rituals and acts retained

Mumbai (Maharashtra) : The State Chief Minister, Pruthviraj Chavan had given a promise in the session of Legislative Assembly (LA) on last Wednesday that anti-superstitions Bill would not be passed without taking ‘Warkari Sampradaya’ into confidence; but the Government is hatching a plot to present the same old Bill presented in the year 2005 without taking Warkaris into confidence and without carrying out any amendments in the Bill as such the danger of attack on Dharma through the anti-Hindu Bill looms large over Hindus.

The proposed Bill titled ‘Maharashtra Narbali va Anya Amanaviya Anishta va Aghori  Pratha va Jadutona Yana Pratibandh va Tyanche Samool Ucchatan Adhiniyam, 2011’  was shown in today’s program schedule of LA. Copies of the Bill were distributed among MLAs; but today’s transactions in LA session were adjourned owing to the firing at demonstrators agitating over supply of water from Pavna Dam; as such the Bill could not be presented; but the Minister for  Social Justice Mr. Shivajirao Moghe is likely to present the Bill today. Even though the State Government has been claiming that the so-called new Bill is being passed for eradication of superstitions and improper and dreadful practices; many legal experts have opined that the clauses included in the Bill would impose ban on religious rituals, customs and traditions followed as per Hindu Dharma besides ban on organizations, temple trusts and books etc. propagating Dharma.

The Bill was strongly opposed by all parties even in the year 2005 when it was presented first time and it was sent to Joint Review Committee. MLAs from the Committee raised many objections to the Bill and the objections still exist. More than 1, 20,000 letters were received from all over the State demanding carrying out amendments to the said Bill. Shiv Sena leader Mr. Diwakar Raote had given suggestions to omit clauses 13 and ‘company clause 5’ in the proposed Act; but his suggestions have also been ignored. This shows that the Minister for Social Justice has been telling lies to the media and pro-Hindu organizations about omission of controversial and anti-Dharma clauses. On 3rd August, a coordination committee was set up under the Chairmanship of H. B. P. Waskar Maharaj to understand the views of Warakaris and the Bill was supposed to be presented only after holding discussions with this committee. The Government has, however, not held any discussions with the said Committee and is going to present the Bill any way. In this manner, the Government has even betrayed the Warkaris’ coordination Committee.

Ajitdada did not keep his promise

Dy. Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had declared before the start of the LA session that clause 13 was omitted from the Bill. It has, however, been observed that the clause is retained as it is in the new Bill. Also the objections raised by Warkari Sampradaya and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) in the meeting held by the Government have not been considered. This can result in another battle between the Waraksaris and the Government.
