Mumbai (Maharashtra) : It has now become clear that the anti-Hindu proposed Bill for eradication of superstitions will be discussed during winter session of the Legislative Assembly (LA). The Bill was presented in the session on Wednesday and could have been discussed on the next or second following day; but considering the warning given by Warkari Sampradaya and issue of firing at Maval in Pune district, the Government did not put the Bill forth for discussions. Moreover, the monsoon session of LA was also concluded today. Under the circumstances, the Bill will now be presented for discussions during the winter session of LA in Nagpur.

The Bill proposed by the Government is detrimental to Dharma. It is learnt that the MLAs of the ruling and opposition parties have realized that the evil purpose of Andha-shraddha Nirmulna Samiti (ANS) to get such Bill passed was to eradicate Dharma and therefore, it was decided that the Bill should not be passed in a hurry. Most of the MLAs from the Opposition Parties like Shiv Sena, BJP, PWP and independents informed Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) that they would oppose the Bill in LA session.

Despite the strong opposition of Warkari Sampradaya and pro-Hindu organizations; giving in to the pressure exerted by ANS, the Minister for Social Justice Mr. Shivajirao Moghe has presented the Bill titled ‘Maharashtra Narbali va Anya Amanaviya Anishta va Aghori  Pratha va Jadutona Yana Pratibandh va Tyanche Samool Ucchatan Adhiniyam, 2011’ which has not yet been passed. It is, however, likely that the Government can once again fall prey to the pressure tactics of ANS and unrighteous people and pass the Bill during the winter session of LA starting from 12th December 2011 at Nagpur. The Bill is against the general religious populace; therefore, Warkari and other Sects have decided to oppose it till it is withdrawn. HJS has made an appeal that all devout citizens should make demand with the local MLAs, State Ministers, administrative officers etc. for cancellation of the Bill.
