Panvel (Maharashtra) :
The Congress-led Central Government is trying to pass a Bill in the current monsoon session titled ‘Communal and targeted violence Act 2011’. This Act will wipe out existence of Hindus and will treat people from only minority communities as plaintiffs and the majority population i.e. Hindus as accused. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) will hold demonstrations at 3.30 p.m. at Shivaji Chowk in Panvel on 19th August to create awareness among people towards the proposed Act. The above information was given by advocate Veerendra Ichalkaranjikar in a press conference held at Government Rest House today.

Mr. Motilal Jain of Jain Organisation, Mr. Bajarang Patil, taluka President of Sree Sampradaya, Mr. Abhay Vartak, the spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha, Mr. Prakash Malondkar and Miss Madhura Bhosale of HJS were present. Advocate Ichalkaranjikar said further, “Discussions should be held everywhere against this anti-Hindu proposed Act. ‘National Advisory Committee’ which prepared the draft of this Act had kept it on its website only for 15 days for perusal of the people. The Act has not reached to people in such short period. The Government should have made extensive publicity of the said Bill. The Act will be of no help to Hindus affected in riots; in fact, the Government has hatched conspiracy against the majority population through all of its 129 clauses and is a part of politics of appeasement. This will set Hindus and Muslims against each other.”

Mr. Abhay Vartak said, “Law is equal for all; but presently, laws are made for the benefit of castes and religions. The Government is not interested in making an Act against terrorism or equal civic rights; it is avoiding passing ‘Janlokpal’ Bill; but is over enthusiastic to pass such Acts that would create rift among people. When a person like Shri. Anna Hazare is not granted permission to go on hunger strike; what must be the plight of an ordinary citizen.”

Miss Madhura Bhosale said, “This Act will result in injustice to women from majority Hindu community. This Act will benefit only Muslim women. All women are alike and it is wrong to treat them differently. We are going to fight against such oppressive Act.”

….. then Hindu women will have to go out in ‘burqua (veil)’ – Motilal Jain

Mr. Motilal Jain of Jain Organisation said, “Condition of Hindus has become more difficult even after 64 years of getting independence. Congress has adopted the policy of ‘Divide and Rule’. Under the leadership of Mr. Narendra Modi, lot of development has taken place in Gujarat and Hindus and Muslims are living safely and happily. This type of laws will, however, make it difficult for Hindus to live. If the Government goes on in this manner, Hindus will lose their mental balance. If such dangerous laws are not opposed, tomorrow, Hindu women will have to go out in ‘burquas’.”
