Panaji: HJS to demonstrate against ‘Communal Violence Bill’ on 23 August

Panaji (Goa): On the pretext of giving protection to the minorities, the Central government has conspired to bring the proposed anti-Hindu ‘Communal Violence Bill’ at the time of the ongoing monsoon session of the parliament. The said Bill is going to cause injustice if it comes into force. Hence, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has organised a demonstration at Sree Maruti Mandir, near Kadamba Bus stand, Panaji on 23^rd August at 3.30 pm to demand to the central government to withdraw the proposed bill. This information was given by HJS’ Mr. Rajesh Korgoaker in a press conference held here yesterday. Mr. Jayesh Thali, goa state convenor of Gomantak Mandir and Dhaarmik Sanstha Mahasangh; Mr. Shivprasad Joshi of Hindu Mahasabha;  Mrs. Deepa Mamledar of Sanatan Sanstha; Advt. Praveen Faldesai and Advt. Nagesh Takbhate were als present during this press conference.

Advt. Praveen Faldesai said at this time that the proposed ‘Communal Violence Bill’ is like a ‘Jajiya tax’ which was imposed by Mughals during there regime.  Mr. Korgoaker further said that, this Law is drafted by anti-Hindu and pro-Muslims, Teesta Setalvad, Sayyad Shahabuddin, John Dayal, Ajgar Ali Engineer and others. It is going to divide minorities and majority (Hindus) to a large extent. According to the Constitution, laws are same for all in our country; but this new law is discriminating. If there is any riot somewhere in the country then the laws applied to the criminals from the minorities will be lenient and those applied to the criminals from the majority will be stringent. Minorities might have full control over the police force because of this law. This certainly would disrupt the National integrity and harm the National interest. In order to grant protection to the minorities, strict conditions and rules will be forced upon the Hindus. So this is Black Law to be passed in the 21st Century and Hindus will never agree to that. So HJS invites all the Hindus to support this agitation in large numbers and fulfill their duty towards Dharma.
