Thane (Maharashtra) : Tiles with pictures of Deities were fixed in the staircase of ‘Janaki Anand’ building in Gokuldaswadi so as to stop people from spitting there. Sanatan seekers and residents of the building Mrs. Ekata Malkar, Mrs. Chimane and Smt. Purva Burate contacted every member of the building and explained how use of such tiles cause denigration of Deities. A meeting was held by the residential society wherein it was resolved to remove such tiles. The decision was promptly implemented too.
