Gangajal provides protection from transmission of microorganisms and helps improve immunity ! – Adv. Arunkumar Gupta, Uttar Pradesh

The Indian saints and sages had complete knowledge of the benefits of bathing in a certain river at a certain time. This is why, after doing a thorough research, they prescribed bathing in river Ganga at an auspicious time. After Makar Sankranti, the Hindu month of Maagh begins with the sun’s entry into Capricorn. Tropic of Capricorn is the closest to Prayagraj. Therefore, the sunrays falling on the river Ganga at the time are rich with ultra-violet rays which helps improve the immunity of those bathing in the river. The Western lifestyle lacks such a tradition of bathing in the river. Studies have proven that the water from Ganga contains unique microbial life, called Bacteriophages that kill viruses which attack the human respiratory system, such as the Coronavirus. Thus, Gangajal provides protection from the transmission of Coronavirus, in addition to helping increase immunity, said Adv. Arunkumar Gupta of Allahabad High Court, Uttar Pradesh, after conducting a thorough research on the subject. He was speaking at a special online webinar titled, ‘Sanatan Dharma: A solution to pollution and pandemics’, organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. This webinar was held on 11 June 2020, from 8 to 9.30 pm.

The discussion saw the participation of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s National Guide, Sadguru (Dr.) Charudatta Pingale; National President of Green India Foundation Trust, Shri. Jagdish Choudhary; Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad’s National President, Adv. Virendra Ichalkaranjikar; and Sanatan Sanstha’s National Spokesperson, Shri. Chetan Rajhans. The programme was moderated by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s Delhi coordinator, Shri Kartik Salunkhe.

Adv. Gupta further said, “When Hindus participate in community bathing in the river during Kumbh Mela, an exchange of body proteins takes place. This triggers a Catabolic reaction in the body, thereby strengthening the immunity of Hindus. This has been proven by the studies conducted by Banaras Hindu University. The Prime Minister has called for production of indigenous and ‘value for money’ products. Since Gangajal has medicinal properties, it can be easily used in the production of locally manufactured medicines. To make this possible, it is important that an independent committee is formed for the study of the medicinal properties of Gangajal, demanded Adv. Arunkumar Gupta at the occasion.

The habit of exploiting nature, responsible for man-made devastation ! – Jagdish Choudhary

Due to the restriction on movement owing to lockdown, it is being said that the rivers have become cleaner to a large degree. However, we are comparing this state of cleanliness to the pollution caused merely in the last 4-5 years. The amount of pollution in the rivers in 1947, or even before that, was minimal. The Yamuna river is clean before it enters Delhi; it gets polluted in Delhi with the sewage water and untreated industrial waste from the city being dumped into it. While trying to ape the Western lifestyle, we have exploited nature instead of conserving it. It is this behaviour that has proven responsible for this man-made devastation, opined Shri. Jagdish Choudhary, National President, Green India Foundation Trust, while speaking at the discussion.

Faux outrage by anti-Hindus citing water pollution due to immersion of idols ! – Adv. Virendra Ichalkaranjikar

Untreated industrial waste full of chemicals is dumped straight into the rivers. Most cities and villages dump their untreated sewage water in the rivers. This industrial chemical waste and sewage water are the key factors responsible for river pollution. Despite this, organisations like Andhashradhha Nirmoolan Samiti have been propagating myths such as, “Immersion of Ganesh idols causes water pollution”, for several years in Maharashtra. Unfortunately, this has led to a misconception among Hindus that they are contributing to water pollution by immersing the Ganesh idols, Adv. Virendra Ichalkaranjikar said while speaking at the occasion.

Indians need to boost their rural system and culture ! – Sadguru (Dr.) Charudatta Pingle

In today’s times, the problems faced by humans on a global scale are primarily due to Westernized thinking and practices. This predicament of environmental degradation has led to a situation where we have to observe a ‘World Environment Day’. In order to rid all of this, we need to turn to the great traditions laid down by our Indian saints and sages. For that, we need to boost our rural system and culture, said Sadguru (Dr.) Charudatta Pingle, National Guide, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.

Hindu culture, a ray of hope for the world ! – Chetan Rajhans, Sanatan Sanstha

Sanatan Dharma has always been environmentally-friendly. The Westerners are moving away from practices invented by them such as consumption of meat, handshake, etc. and are embracing Hindu practices of Namaskar, vegetarianism and cremation (Agnisanskar). The Indian dietary and lifestyle practices are attracting the West. The Indian culture offers a concept called Agnihotra in order to safeguard the society from epidemics and for purifying nature. Agnihotra has the ability to develop a subtle protective sheath to block radioactive rays. Therefore, Hindu culture is the only ray of hope for the world. I appeal everyone to adopt the lifestyle methods of Hindu culture, said Shri. Chetan Rajhans, National Spokesperson, Sanatan Sanstha.

This online webinar was live streamed from Facebook and YouTube. The programme reached over 74000 viewers and was watched by an audience of over 31000.

On the occasion of the webinar, the hashtag #Scientific_Sanatan_Dharma was among the trending topics on Twitter. The subject received over 100,000 tweets, and received a huge response from across the world.
