Hindus commend HJS drive

Karad, 13th September – It rained heavily during Ganesh Festival in catchment area and lot of water was released in Krushna River on the day of immersion which has been stopped now. In the river, therefore, many Sri Ganesh idols immersed at Krushna Ghat were lying in the open.
Members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) learnt about the same and they immediately informed Health and Construction Department of Karad Municipality. Later, HJS activists, along with the employees of Health Department re-immersed about 1000 idols in flowing water and stopped denigration of the idols. Few youth who had gone to play on the ghat also got inspired by the action taken by HJS activists and joined them. Many Hindus have commended the act of HJS members.
