Editor of an eveninger render apology for defaming Shivaji Maharaj

Outcome of guidance by HJS activists

Dhule (Maharashtra): Matter defaming Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was published in an eveninger ‘Garud Samrat’s issue dated 5^th Sptember 2011 by its Editor Purushottam Manik Garud. It was published under the heading ‘Protest against superstitions, improper customs and traditions’. On reading the matter, activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) visited the editor and explained to him that such writing had led to defamation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. (Congratulations to HJS activists for promptly taking action on realization of insult of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ! – Editor SP)

On realization, the Editor gave a letter to HJS activists rendering apology. He informed that the matter was taken from the book ‘Yuvak Raje Shivaraya’ written by anti-Dharma writer Purushottam Khedekar. Mr. Avinash Patil, Govind Patil, Mukesh Patil, Deepak Patil, Chetan Patil, Vishal Vispute, Prashant Patil, Vinod Patil and all residents of Bhokar village were present on the occasion.  

The matter published in the eveninger defaming Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj –

(One cannot be a Hindu if his blood does not boil after reading the matter !)

1.  Shivaji Maharaj was promoter of truth, rationalism and science. He did not believe in scriputres or God.

2.  On number of times, Maharaj told about his getting vision of Goddess Tulja Bhavani only to develop faith of his people; but he made occasional use of the same.

3. In those days, there was influence of Gods, temples, Dharma, sins, virtues, heaven, hell, Brahmins, priests, ritualistic worship etc. over people which was used by Shivaraya to establish ‘Swaraj’.

4.  Maharaj used to catch hold of the main enemy on conquering any part; he used to obtain information about his wealth and later, used to bury the same underground constructing temples over them. He used to take very few of his associates into confidence.

5.   Whenever he wanted to use the wealth, he used to tell people that Bhavani Devi  told him in his dream so that he could break the idols and demolish the temples. This used to help in gaining the confidence of his subjects.

6.  Shivaraya made proper use of human psychology in those days.

7.  Goddess Bhavani Devi presented him with ‘Bhavani’ sword, Shivaji Maharaj could vanish and go anywhere , he was the enemy of Muslims, Dadu Konddev and Ramdas were his Gurus, are all superstitions. (Hindu-hater Khedekar ! – Editor SP)
