Shivajirao Deshmukh and Shri. Pandurang Fundkar, leader of the Opposition on behalf of HJS.
Under the pretext of eradication of blind faith, the proposed Act actually will eradicate faith towards Gods and religion. Therefore, there is opposition to the above Act from people from all walks of life. Besides, the State Government is also trying to have control over all temples, religious trusts and institutions under the excuse of malpractices and irregularities in managing the temples under the proposed Act. Temples are places of worship and faith for Hindus and they have played a pivotal role in protection of religion in the past history of thousands of years.
