Press conference of HJS at Sangli

Mr. Vinay Panvalkar addressing in the press conference

Sangli (Maharashtra): The Central Government is trying to pass an Act titled ‘Communal and targeted violence Act, 2011’ under the guise of giving protection to minorities which will, however, be injustice to Hindus. This Act will not be applied only when there are riots but will be applicable even otherwise and at all places. This Act will deprive citizens of their right to express and will create a problem for Hindus to survive. The above frank opinion was expressed by Mr. Vinay Panwalkar of Dharmashakti Sena in a press conference held here. The press conference was held on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). Mr. Narayanrao Kadam, the Chief Executive of Hindu Ekata Andolan, Mr. Dattatreya Retharekar of HJS and advocate Mr. Balasaheb Deshpande were also present on the occasion.

Mr. Panwalkar said further, “It is the principle advocated by our Constitution that a crime has no caste or creed or religion and everyone is same before law. Both these principles will be eliminated by passing this law. Cognizance of acts undertaken by only majority of the population will be taken under the proposed Act. Despite effective existing laws, the new ‘Tughalaqui’ law is an example of politics of votes and appeasement of minorities. We demand for cancellation of such suppressive Act.

Advocate Mr. Deshpande said, “The existing elected MPs now need to take some concrete action. Many provisions and clauses have not been defined properly as such they will be suppressive for Hindus. As per this Act, criticism of any kind against minority community will also lead to arrest of Hindus !”
