Dombivali (Maharashtra):  Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) staged demonstrations in Indira Chowk near railway station to protest against the proposed Communal Violence Bill  (communal and targeted violence Bill 2011). There was overwhelming response by residents of Dombivali to the demonstrations. Mr. Durgesh Parulkar, the famous writer and orator, Mr. Dinesh Achalkar, the branch-chief of Shiv Sena, Mr. Prasad Vadake of Dharmashakti Sena, Mrs. Alpana Joshi of Sanatan Sanstha and Mr. Ajay Sambhus, the Thane district coordinator of HJS were present on the occasion.
Mr. Durgesh Parulkar said in his guidance, “This Bill is more dangerous than the Roulette Act passed by the British.  This is a conspiracy of the Government to destroy Hindus with the help of few heretics for appeasement of minorities. This will put restrictions on the freedom of individuals and development. It is a ploy of the Government to convert this Nation into an Islamic and Christian country, which in view of the Congress, is secularism.”

Mr. Dinesh Achalkar said, “We should unite against this Bill as it will eradicate Dharma. We should have Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as our ideal.” Hundreds of citizens signed the representation.
