Thane (Maharashtra): On behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), there was exchange of greetings and ‘sona’ on the day of ‘Vijayadashami/ Dasara’ with pro-Hindu activists from Kolshet area. There was guidance by HJS on how to inaugurate shop as per Hindu culture. It was observed that a beauty parlour in Vasant Vihar, MHADA Complex was to be inaugurated by cutting red ribbon at the hands of Mr. Aitwadekar, special executive officer.

Mrs. Dhanashree Kelashikar of HJS contacted Mrs. Suchita Pagare , the owner of the beauty parlour and explained to her about inauguration. She told her that cutting red ribbon for inaugurating was following western culture. Since it was the auspicious day of ‘Dasara’, inauguration should be done by breaking of coconut as prescribed in Hindu Dharma. She also explained to her the spiritual benefits of entering ‘vaastu’ after inaugurating it in such manner. Mrs. Pagare liked the science and the parlour was inaugurated by breaking of coconut. Mr. and Mrs. Aiatwadekar said that they were happy to inaugurate in this manner abiding by Hindu Dharma. Other members of HJS were also present on the occasion.
