Nardana (Dist. Dhule, Maharashtra): Mr. Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister of Gujarat refused to wear the round cap given to him by few Muslims who had gone to meet him during his fast. The media then criticized him for the same. We want to tell them that we will respect other religions but will not bow before them. The above strong warning was given by Mr. Ramesh Shinde,  the spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for the States of Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat. He was speaking in a program organized at ‘Mangal Karyalay’ by Hindu youth from Nardana on the topic of ‘Present condition of Hindu Dharma and Nation and the solutions’.

The program started with blowing of conch followed with performing of ‘puja’ of the pictures of Srikrushna and Chhatrapati Shivaraya. Mr. Shinde said, “Shri. Anna Hazare started agitation against corruption; but only because he used to say ‘Vande Mataram’ in the agitation, Imam Bukhari appealed to Muslims that they should not take part in the agitation. Bukhari should know that his support is not required for our agitations. The Government is spending Rs. 826 crores for the ‘Haj’ pilgrimage of Muslims. How much money has the Government given so for any Hindu festivals? But we don’t question the Government as we are divided in different castes. Caste system is also followed by Muslims but they unite whenever a call is given to them.”

Professor and ‘keertankar’ Nana Patil said, “We do not want 100 ‘Kauravas’ but want only 5 ‘Pandavas’. HJS is guiding the local youth in right direction and motivating them.”

Mr. Deepak Chitre, Neelesh Sisode, Baban Patil , the local devout Hindu youth held meetings at nooks and corners to propagate about the meeting besides sending sms. It was resolved to create awareness about the present condition of Nation and Dharma among as many Hindus as possible. The program was attended by about 150 devout Hindus.

Highlights

  1. Mr. Ramesh Shinde was garlanded and presented a sword on the occasion.
  2. Three resolutions were passed in the program which were – ‘Greeting with folded hands instead of shaking hands’, ‘to apply ‘tila’ on the forehead before leaving the house’ and ‘To work for protection of Hindu Dharma till the last breath’ .
  3. Mr. Nana Patil had extended invitation to attend the program through his ‘keertan’ programs held at various places.
